Turtles are very powerful creatures and remind us that all sensitive creatures sometimes have to withdraw and go within themselves in order to be healthy and safe. They also teach us that we can exist and operate in more than one environment…since they are amphibian. We can learn much from our fellow creatures if we pay close attention.
This bracelet also calls to mind the story of Turtle Island, which is what many of the indigenous peoples of North America called the land…and reminds us to honor the indigenous cultures of North America and indeed world wide.
