Antique Agate/Carnelian/Chalcedony Beaded Necklace with Contemporary Black beads approximately 21”

At its heart are antique red/orange Agate/Carnelian/Chalcedony Beads that date between 2000 BCE and 1000 BCE.  These beads range from approximately 0.5”-0.250” and come from a collection of Middle Eastern and Pre-Columbian beads.  This collection (Y. Kayvan, Los Angelos, California…acquired from a Los Angelos, California USA gallery acquisition from the late 1990’s - 2005) consisted of handsome beads chiefly Carnelian and related Chalcedony in orange, salmon and brownish red tones.  Some pieces are banded Agate beads.  The antique beads have drilled holes, some lengthwise and some transversely.

The necklace is accented with contemporary 3mm and 6mm black beads…completed with a black hook and ring clasp.  This necklace is approximately 21”.
