This last week has been quite a whirlwind…with all the things changing in our country and in our world…it’s difficult to keep up and to adjust. We mustn’t be naive about the forces organized in our world that are continually trying to strip away human rights and dignity from the people and our various communities…and we mustn’t let them wear us down. We as Witches and Magickal people will continue to stand against and oppose them with all our resources…we are indeed their Adversary.
I have some lovely Goddess statues that I had listed here…Facebook objected to them and claimed that they were “adult” material that violated their policies…It's a beautiful reproduction of the Goddess of Willendorf from Paleolithic times that is also a reproduction of an artifact that belongs to all humanity…a religious icon that embodies the Mother Goddess in all of Her Divine essence. Even when I pointed this out to “them” and requested a review, they determined that She was still offensive. It shouldn’t surprise us that the powers that be still find the body of the Goddess offensive and Pornographic…since the capitalist/patriarchal gaze only views living Nature as commodity and object to be exploited and “owned”…and creates ontological categories that they find useful in their exploitation and domination. I still find it strange that we collectively allow these perspectives and evil actions to continue and thrive…I have to wonder if we weren’t kept busily occupied with our struggle to survive in our daily lives, if we wouldn’t in fact work together to bring forth the new world in which there is no body that is “obscene” because no one is indoctrinated to objectify and use…no one is indoctrinated to feel less than…and no one is taught to hate themselves…or others. One day, we will prevail…I hope.
This week, lets try to envision the new world and what it will look like…let us imagine peace and let us renew our commitment to work for Justice. Let us Bainsh Hate and Invoke Love. We are the Healers of the Earth. Blessings to you all,
