It’s Pride month again…and like the parades we carry on in rain or sun. We celebrate the victories we have had and we remain alert as the attacks on our communities escalate…especially on the Transgender community which seems to be the primary focus of republican legislative attacks nationwide. Here in Ohio (and across the nation) we have Nazis (open and covert…along with their allies) organizing and showing up to events to intimidate and harass and silence (one was arrested for fire bombing a local affirming/inclusive church. We will never back down…we will continue to pull together and work towards the day when all bigotry and hate is banished from the human mind and heart.
During this month as we attend events and celebrate, let us remain mindful and alert…and remain safe. Work magick for the general protection and advancement of equality and justice for LGBTQIA people. Contact your legislature to oppose anti-LGBTQIA legislation and to promote bills, laws and policies that protect us all.
Here at Witch Joseph during the month of June 2023, we are donating 10% of sales from our LGBTQIA+ collection to the Trevor Project which does amazing work and outreach in our communities, especial with LGBT youth who are the most vulnerable and are often disenfranchised from their families. We are also including a link in most of our social media posts to a fundraiser for the Trevor Project so that even if you don’t make a purchase you can still contribute to them and support their work.
